Just a little random introduction

I know I posted something a couple hours ago but I had an idea. Facebook has this whole "25 things about me" note going around and I thought it would be useful to anyone coming across this blog to learn a little about me...that is, if you care. If you don't, that's cool too. So here goes!

1. I don't cry often at everyday things but an emotional scene in a movie or tv show will have me bawling my eyes out. I can't watch, P.S. I Love You, The Notebook, or A Walk to Remember without crying. The episode of Quentin's funeral on One Tree Hill had me crying the whole episode.

2. I love learning about new music. I'm currently loving Kings of Leon, Vedera, and 3OH!3. Check them out.

3. I love being in school but I hate homework. I wish I could just sit in on classes and take notes without any other requirements.

4. As of August, I'm a GA in my university's archives and museum and I LOVE it. This is what I want to spend my life doing.

5. I get creeped out easily. Thanks to the movie Dead Silence I can't deal with dolls. We have some at work and I have to face away from them. It's all so creepy. *shivers*

6. I've had my '04 Sunfire longer than any other car I've owned--3 years. Josephine is vehicle #4 for me.

7. When I was 17 I broke my ankle in a car accident. I have a big pin in it now and a wicked scar. The story of how it actually broke makes people wince.

8. I have a tendency to run into things a lot and usually have a couple bruises. I once stubbed my toe and dislocated it. I never got it put right.

9. I seriously considered joining the military for a while before I opted for grad school.

10. My brother and I have a weird way we say 'I love you.' He texts me stuff like "you suck" and I respond with "loser." That's just how we roll. He's the best brother anyone could ask for.

11. I'm going to London in May and can't wait! It's the first time I'll be out of the US of A.

12. I don't understand how people can live in places where they can't see the stars. It's just too beautiful.

13. Movies, music and books are a necessity.

14. Jen Lancaster is my hero. She's also f*cking hilarious.

15. I try to take my camera when I go out with my girls but I normally have to hand if off because I forget to take pictures.

16. I like beer. A lot of people find that weird because I'm a girl or they think beer is gross. Whatev. I love to try new beer. My favorites are Blue Moon, Corona, Heinekin, Killian's Irish Red and Becks. They're all delicious.

17. I have a girl crush on Taylor Swift. Well, mainly with her hair. I'm jealous.

18. Victoria's Secret's Pink boyfriend sweatpants are the best piece of clothing ever created.

19. I've developed committment phobia. It's probably because I've been single for a while and am surrounded by immature losers.

20. My dad says I'll never find a man like him but I think I will. He's the best man I know.

21. I have a great immediate family but I can't stand most of my extended family. I'm thinking of eloping whenever I find someone and decide to get married to avoid dealing with them.

22. I haven't had the opportunity to travel as much as I would like but I think North Carolina is one of the most ideal places in the country.

23. I know a lot of useless information. My dad and I once had a 2 hour discussion on the cause of the Korean War.

24. Anywhere, if you go at the right time of day during the right time of the year, can be beautiful.

25. I've developed a liking for musicals as of late. Sweeney Todd, Rent, Phantom of the Opera and Across the Universe sit on my shelf along with others. My university put on an excellent production of Cabaret.
